Vocational Training prepares the young women for careers, for supplementary income generation, and for leading others with ideas for small businesses, the nexus for microfinance loans. The young women produce their first curriculum vitae, fill out applications for further educational opportunities, and practice interviewing. They learn basic sewing skills and bicycle repair. Outings such as beekeeping and urban gardening help the young women to develop ideas that may be useful in Niger but are not yet widely practiced.
